At IBC 2026, BCE will showcase how it designs, integrates and operates media workflows across the media supply chain; from content management and preparation to distribution; supported by infrastructure, applications and managed services.

BCE has selected Alpha Networks’ Gecko OTT platform as a technology component that can be integrated within BCE’s end-to-end media services. The platform is currently being deployed by BCE as part of an OTT service, following an evaluation of its ability to meet the technical and operational requirements defined by BCE for the project.

Gecko provides a modular, scalable and multi-tenant OTT architecture, enabling multiple services and brands to be operated from a common platform while maintaining dedicated configurations, content, users, rights and workflows.

BCE’s role is to connect and operate workflows across the media supply chain, ensuring seamless interaction between OTT and the wider media ecosystem.
By integrating Gecko within its broader media ecosystem, BCE can incorporate a flexible OTT technology layer into the end-to-end services it designs and operates, while retaining the ability to adapt the overall architecture to different customer requirements, use cases and service models.

Gecko supports live, replay and on-demand video, with multi-device distribution across web, mobile and connected TV, as well as monetization models including AVOD, SVOD, TVOD and hybrid approaches.

Its API-driven and modular architecture also allows it to integrate into the wider media delivery environment, including content management, advertising, analytics, playout, CDN and identity systems.
